Monte and I thought we'd start a blog. We will be going through one of the most incredible, life-changing experiences in a couple of weeks....becoming parents! So we'll have plenty of interesting stories and pictures to share.
We found out we were expecting back in October and so far, it's been a really good pregnancy. At our last ultrasound (36 weeks), the baby weighed approximately 5 lbs. 11 oz. and the ultrasound tech said the baby had a head full of hair (not taking after dad yet!)
We do not know if it's a boy or a girl, though everyone seems to think it's a boy. I had told someone we wanted to be surprised and he told me "the surprise is not the sex of the baby - the surprise IS the baby". Good advice for 1st time parents, I guess!

What a fun way for all of us who are not close to you see Baby Dirks grow up. I can't wait to meet the baby & see that full head of hair. Take care of yourself & tell baby that "Auntie Em" says hi! Love ya.
